POLICIES OF
THE MONTI AWARDS NOMINATION COMMITTEE

The Monti Awards are for any shows performed by a select,
yet not limited to, group of  Community
Theater Production Companies in the Brandon, Tampa, Riverview,
Plant City, Florida and surrounding
areas (i.e.  Plant City Entertainment, Footlights Theatre Productions,
Valrico / Village Players,  StageDoor Performing Arts,
The Frenzie - Life Theatre)

Membership or Representation from any or all groups is not required,
since the Monti Awards are a recognition program independent
of any particular theater group affiliation.

"Our mission is to unite,
support and recognize
monumental achievements
in the Art of Community
Theater."

Membership to the committee is required to vote.
As a rule, Members' names should not be made public information.

•   The Monti Awards Nomination Committee consists
of Independent members.
Independents are selected based on their talents, professionalism,
team spirit, dedication, and love and understanding for the Community
Theater Arts. This group includes, yet is not limited to, actors/ actresses,
directors, producers, entertainers, stage technicians,
crew, and patrons of Community Theater.
Members must be at least 18 years of age.

•        Membership is obtained by being selected or approved by the
Committee Vice President, President, or
Chairperson. Any member can nominate a candidate for membership.

•         Production Companies may provide a group discount to members
attending a show as a group. Arrangements must be made in advance for
group discounts. It is up to the Company as to
the night of the discounted show.

•        Members should plan to see all shows. If you are unable to attend,
please send a representative who thinks like you and will give a complete
review of the production to you. This is an honor system, so members are
asked to hold on to show programs.

•        All members must uphold the Monti Awards process, with
professionalism, integrity, confidentiality, and teamwork. Any disruptive
member will be removed from the Committee.

•        All members are to fill out nomination sheets for all shows preformed
in the award fiscal year. (July. - June.)  The nominees on these sheets will be
voted on by the members, as the first stage in the voting process. A final vote
will take place with the finalist (top 5-7 nominees). Everyone will vote
on the final nominees, at this point.  All votes will be given to a source
(not to be announced) for tabulation of results.
Production nominations and all voting are in July.
Results are announced at the Award Show in August.

•     The Award Show will consist of award presentations, entertainment,
and other forms of recognition.
